Cyprus - Freight Shipping and Transport

Cyprus

Road Freight >>>>

Express Courier>>>>

Road freight to Cyprus can be more problematical than to most other EU countries - and it has been since the effective partition of the island after the Turkish invasion of 1974. The two regions are separated by a UN Buffer Zone.

This has serious implications for Cypriot freight. The Turkish Cypriot ports of Famagusta and Kyrenia in the north are closed to international traffic, the only internationally permitted shipping routes from Northern Cyprus are to mainland Turkey. So cargo to and from Ireland and Northern Cyprus can be moved across Europe through Turkey, and transit a short sea journey to Northern Cyprus. However, freight entering the Turkish controlled north may not legally enter the Republic.

We work with local partner depots in Turkey and Northern Cyprus to ensure your groupage to the TRNC reaches all the five districts of Girne, Guselyurt, Gazimagusa, Lefkosa and Iskele; we can deliver to all the cities and towns including North Nicosia, Famagusta, Kyrenia, Morphou, Gonyeli, Lapithos, Kythrea, Lefka, Dikomo, Trikomo and elsewhere.

Freight to the officially-recognised Republic of Cyprus in the south forms the majority of Cypriot consignments. Main imports include machinery, petroleum and other lubricants, transport equipment etc. The primary exports include citrus fruits, cement, potatoes, clothing and pharmaceuticals. Cyprus joined the EU in 2004 and the Eurozone in 2008, all of which encourages trade with Ireland. Our economy groupage services to Cyprus is especially cost-effective, and our express services are some of the fastest economical courier services.

Cargo from Ireland to the Greek-Cypriot Republic benefits from new international port facilities at Limassol, as well as a smaller port at Larnaca.

We cover all cities, towns and villages in Cyprus - including Nicosia, Strovolos, Limassol, Lakatamia, Larnaca, Paphos, Kato Polemidia, Aglantzia, Aradippou, Egkomi, Pera Chorio, Ayia Napa, Kofinou, Astromeritis and others.

So whether its business to business groupage to Cyprus, dedicated road freight transport for heavy machinery, manufactured goods for export or import to or from Cyprus, fragile / secure / time sensitive cargo from Ireland to the Republic, whatever your cargo challenge we will be happy to offer a solution.
