Each week, we ship to 48 cities across Canada and The US directly from Ireland.
Of these 48 cities, approximately 30 are ‘land locked’ or ‘inland,’ meaning they are not ocean facing cities like New York, Vancouver or Los Angeles and subsequently aren't accessible to conventional container ship traffic.
In order to reach these major cities whilst continuing to offer the same level of service, quick transit time and competitive prices, we introduced a ‘Multimodal’ solution.
Shipments for inland ports & cities are offloaded at the major container hubs along the coasts and transferred to an inland container freight stsation via trucking or rail services. The cargo then continues to the customs warehouse at the city of destination, meaning the shipment doesn't terminate at the port of arrival into the US, circumventing customs delays and expediting transit times.
This allows us to quote DAT (delivered at terminal), LCL rates directly to freight depots and ‘ports’ in 48 cities across North America as one single movement.
As required, we can also arrange local delivery and clearance in the US or Canada.
